About Me
I am an enthusiastic writer based in Lagos, with a rich experience of over 10 years in writing about economic and socio-political issues in Nigeria and West Africa.
Why do I write?
Over a span of three decades of service in the Nigerian Navy, I have also had the privilege to lead sailors and officers through some of the very challenging situations. After retiring, It became my mission to distill the core leadership principles I learned in the field, and to share those lessons with a broader audience, both military and civilian. Becoming a civilian also allows me to share insights and join the discourse on subjects like corporate governance, effective leadership and communication, and a wide range of other topics affecting Nigeria, In times of crisis, we need effective, strategic and forward thinking leaders and my aim is to contribute to the ongoing dialogue about what it takes to lead effectively when the stakes are highest.
What I Do
